PamojaTogether is the work of students, faculty and some amazing research and technical support staff. Here’s who really made this project work!
Jake Kassen has been on the staff of Boston University College of Communication for since 2003 where he designs and maintains the College’s Post-Production facilities, Studios, and Apple technology. Jake is an expert in Avid and Final Cut video editing as well as audio production on a number of platforms. He recently provided field support for Journalism students in London for the 2012 summer Olympics, in Washington, DC for the presidential inauguration, and oversaw the technical operations of the College’s live Presidential Election coverage.Outside of his work with the University, Jake is a freelance videographer and editor. In 2013 he was nominated for a New England Emmy for Short Form Photography. He is on the board of the New England Randonneurs, long distance biking group. His longest trek:775 miles in ~85 hours!
June (Jeungah) Kim is a Korean doctorate student in the educational media and technology program at Boston University. She studied traditional animation, media art, and science in New York and California. She currently works at the computer lab in the School of Education at Boston University and provides teachers and students technological support for software, hardware, and media creation services. She also volunteers at Seeds of Empowerment (Seeds), a non-profit educational organization and helps the organization to improve the quality of education in Africa. In the Fall of 2012, she went to Tanzania with Seeds and provided hands-on mobile technology workshops to secondary school teachers to illustrate the educational benefits of using mobile devices and to improve their computer skills.
