Lusha v.2

by Lusha Chen

The unbalance between the number of women and men in China has created a business of the “Burmese brides.” Many of the Burmese women propositioned to marry a Chinese man end up as sex slaves. Internally Displaced Persons lack basic protection. This is exacerbating by the civil war in Kachin State and the denied access to the UN and other aid agencies. Even Burmese women who are treated well lack basic human rights. To stay, or to leave, it is a story of survival.
